Biography

Big Wolf Band have quickly established themselves as one of the must see bands on the rock and blues circuit. 2017 saw the band release their ground breaking debut album “A Rebel’s Story”. The album quickly claimed number 1 slot as bestselling blues album in the Amazon charts, a place in iTunes Top 20 and number 5 in the IBBA Radio Chart. “A Rebel’s Story” also had international radio exposure and was even played by Paul Jones on his BBC Radio 2 Blues Programme. They also achieved a string of great reviews from a variety of magazines including Blues in Britain, Get Ready to Rock Radio and many more.

Their live performances take the listener on a blues rock fuelled journey with dynamic highs and lows, creating an energy filled set that incorporates everything you want to see and hear from a live band. Jon, The Big Wolf, draws on influences from such greats as Pete Green, Freddie King, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa and Paul Kossoff. They all influence his distinctive individual style.

The band have been touring over the last few yeaars with their own headline shows and have supported some of the best artists on the scene, including The Move, Ian Parker, Brothers Groove, Kirk Fletcher, Leon Hendrix, Ben Poole, Stevie Nimmo Trio, Rebecca Downes, Pat McManus, Stacie Collins, Chantel McGregor, The Climax Blues Band and Elles Bailey. Their development is clear to see and with a second album on the way their followers, the ‘Wolf Pack’, can expect to see a lot more of the Big Wolf Band in the future.

On 21st July 2018 the Big Wolf Band played to a packed Big Top Stage at Upton Blues Festival receiving amazing support and feedback from the crowd. In September 2018 the band were invited to perform at ‘John Bonham – A Celebration Concert’ in Redditch, which was a massive honour. The Band are also supporting the legendary Bernie Marsden at this year’s Nantwich Jazz and Blues Festival (2019). They are touring to showcase their new album “Be Free”, featuring Zoe Green on vocals, during 2019/20.
